What is the composition of the plant pods?
The Pods are made of bio-compostable plastic. This plastic is perfectly degradable in industrial compost (you can throw them in your "packaging" bin when your plant has reached the end of its cycle). You can also repot your plants by leaving the plant in the pod, this will avoid breaking the roots! The substrate inside the pod is composed of peat, coconut fibre and nutrients (minerals) essential for plant growth. The seeds are mainly organic and come from French seed companies.
How to get started?
Place the supplied seeds in the bag in the 3 holes in the pod. Insert the pod into the floater in the pot filled with water. Place the pot under the light. Let's start the growing experience!
How do I take care of my plants?
Remember to add water to the pot when the level drops. The water level is indicated by the floater : when the floater gets close to the bottom of the pot, it is time to add water! Prune your plants when necessary (note: always leave 10 cm of stem at the base). All the harvesting and pruning tips are on the app Prêt à Pousser.
How long does it take to get a plant?
It all depends on the plant. After a few days the seed will germinate and give way to a small seedling that will grow a little each day. In general, it takes about 5 weeks to obtain mature herbs and salads, and 8 to 10 weeks for mini fruits and vegetables and flowers.
How long can I enjoy my plant and my crops?
You can enjoy your plants for 3 months or more depending on the variety. When the plant is tired, you can throw the pod into the compost or repot it and replace it with another one.
Can I grow whatever I want in Prêt à Pousser Pods?
We offer over 60 varieties of plants pods ready to grow in your indoor gardens. However, if you want to grow your own seeds, we offer a "neutral" capsule, i.e. a capsule without seeds included. For these neutral pods, in which you use seeds not supplied by Prêt à Pousser, we cannot however guarantee the success of the growth.
